The new Afrikanis Rum Tasting Room, situated at Hello You Restaurant in Somerset Street is now open for business. Delightfully welcoming, the tasting room is neatly laid out, and fully stocked with all the Afrikanis products, from the important rum itself, to other merchandise, such as exquisite hand creams, aromatic soaps, and Afrikanis branded shirts.
Founders of the Afrikanis brand, the de Wets, have travelled across Africa, and bring unique products, inspired by the deep history of the continent, to Graaff-Reinet. The rum is infused with eight botanicals, ensuring a spicy and fruity taste, and with notes of charcoaled dry oak among others, courtesy of the botanicals, and the fine bourbon casks in which the rum is aged.
