Moria Horseriding:
We operated a successful horseriding and schooling facility in the Kareedouw, Kouga and Baviaanskloof area from 2006 until the end of 2023. We relocated to Graaff-Reinet during March of 2024 and we look forward to continuing our business here.
Horses are, and have always been our absolute passion. We have 50+ years experience in the breeding, riding and training of these unique and wonderful creations. Winston Churchill once remarked that “the outside of a horse is good for the inside of a man”.
Our name “Moria” is derived from a mountain mentioned in the bible. lt’s biblical connection symbolizes our believe, our way of living and the manner in which we conduct our business. The interests of our customers are paramount and any deviation from service excellence is non negotiable.
We ride and breed the unique South African bred Boerperd which is renowned for it’s excellent temperament and hardiness.
Our horses are trained to facilitate riders over the full spectrum. We cater for first time beginners to more experienced riders and strive to offer our riders the best possible riding experience coupled with the therapy that inter action with a well trained horse presents.
We offer:
– Daily horseride and schooling lessons for riders from age 3 to 33×3.
– Ninety (90) minute to 6 hour out-rides through the beautiful Camdeboo and surroundings. We can currently accommodate 8 riders. Our herd will soon be expanded which will enable us to facilitate larger groups.
– We will in due course include multi day
(5 to 7 days) out-rides. Please contact us for further details in this regard.
– Horsecart rides:
We are currently liaising with business owners, guest houses and restauranteurs in order to provide a variety of services related to horsecarting. These will include, but are not limited to the following:
– Fun horsecart rides for locals and tourists through town and surroundings.
– Rides to wedding, birthday, matrix farewell and team building functions.
– Providing uber services during special events such as the recent Stoeptasting etc.
– Any reasonable requests can be negotiated.
We sell well mannered and trained horses and provide assistance with the training and taming of horses where needed.
