Graaff-Reinet Animal Welfare Society (GRAWS)
Nestled in the heart of the Karoo, GRAWS is a registered non-profit, dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming abandoned, neglected and stray animals in Graaff-Reinet. Funded solely through community support and donations, GRAWS works tirelessly with limited resources but endless compassion to provide shelter, medical care and second chances to animals in need. Please help us continue this vital work.

Although our kennels are currently not fully operational due to funding constraints, we remain actively committed to reducing overpopulation through spay-a-thons (mass spay/neuter days), promoting responsible pet ownership and educating communities on the humane treatment of all animals.  With continued support, we hope to reopen our kennels permanently and expand our impact.

Every contribution, whether through donations, awareness or advocacy, helps ensure that the wagging tails and gentle purrs of rescued animals continue to add warmth and character to our historic town. Visitors are welcome to follow our journey and stay up to date with our work on social media.
